Join your colleagues at the Annual Fall Conference of the Illinois Geographic Information Systems Assocation. The first day will include various workshops that are interactive classroom style, or hands-on. The second day will offer several concurrent sessions featuring innovative and effective GIS concepts, strategies, and tools. The exhibitor reception and open Board meeting are scheduled to enhance your experience.

Registration Information
Registration forms downloaded above can be mailed with payment or purchase order number. If you are not including payment with your registration form, you must include the FEIN. For further information you can call the conference hotline at 815-753-7922 to listen to taped answers to frequently asked questions, or reach a phone agent during business hours.

Registrations accepted by mail, fax, or online (online registration with credit card only) prior to October 3rd. will receive the early-bird discount. Registrations after that date will pay the regular registration fee through October 31st.. After October 31st., registrations received will be considered on-site and will be assigned to workshops based upon the order you arrive at the conference and availability of seats. Any individual wishing to receive discounted member rates for the conference must be current in their 2008 annual dues prior to registration. If you have not paid your dues and register as a member, you will be contacted and billed for the non-member rates.  Verification of membership status can be obtained by contacting Tracy Rogers, Executive Director, at tlrogers@niu.edu.  If your status is in question, please contact her immediately.  Any individual registering on-site must do so with cash, check or credit card that day.

Students must be at least half-time students and need to include a letter from their department chair with the registration form or your registration will not be considered until the letter is received. There is now a student discount available for the workshops on Wednesday at half the price of conference fees, however, this is only for a maximum of 10% of the seats available. Students are not able to register online.

Refunds: A full refund will be issued if written request, by fax or mail, is received by NIU Outreach Services – Registration and postmarked on or before October 24, 2008. No refunds will be issued after that date. If you cannot attend, you may send a substitute. If you do not send a substitute and you do not attend yourself, you are still responsible for notifying Registration before the deadline for the refund to be processed. Please allow 6-8 weeks for refunds to be processed.
