The Association relies on the volunteer efforts of members to staff the committees and organize the meetings. If you are interesteed in sitting on a particular committee, please notify tlrogers@niu.edu. The standing committees are:

Honors Committee - to solicit nominations for the awards of the Association, to select the awardees and to present the awards to the chosen recipients. The Association annually can award up to three ILGISA Service Awards and one Dahlberg Distinguished Achievement Award.

Ad Hoc Conference Planning Committees - to plan and carry out a meeting of ILGISA.

By-Laws Committee - to review the by-laws governing the association and to propose changes to be voted on by the membership.

Publications Committee -- to coordinate the publications of Illinois GIS Notes and any other special publication.

Web Pages Committee - to coordinate the preparation and maintenance of the ILGISA Web Pages.

Chair, Christopher McGarry; Committee Members, Pat Keegan and TBA.

Nominations Committee - chaired by the Past President, this committee solicits names for nomination to the position of President-Elect and all open Board seats.

Finance Committee - responsible for drafting the next fiscal year's budget and providing monthly financial reports on the association, along with financial reports on events.

Membership Committee - responsible for analyzing and disseminating methods to increase membership and enhance current member benefits..
