Growing leading National GIS mapping company seeks an experienced, highly motivated and professional GIS Account Manager / Resource Specialist for GIS mapping sales in the State of Illinois and adjacent States. Qualified applicant must have a strong knowledge of GIS and other mapping related applications.

Responsibilities will range from lead generation, qualifying, developing and closing sales, customer and project management, delivery and installation of data, training and providing technical support to clients. Existing knowledge of the GIS and mapping applications to government markets is an important key to success in this position. Applicants should be familiar with mapping and GIS, including the use of these products and services in county and municipal governments.

Qualifications:
Experience with GIS and other mapping applications.
BS/BA or higher education in GIS or related field.
3 years experience in GIS, mapping applications or related fields.
Candidate must be highly motivated and capable of working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Experience with software/tools such as ESRI ArcGis.
Ability to generate new business, project sales and meet sales revenue targets.
Written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Location: State of Illinois and neighboring States.
Travel is required. (Client site visits, industry conferences, sales meetings, etc.).

Compensation:
Compensation is a combination of salary and bonus.

The position requires the management of the design, layout and production of client-server and web-based applications. The candidate must work well in a team-like atmosphere in the development of GIS and IT products for a wide variety of public-sector clients. Candidates that have MCAD and/or GISP certification are preferred.

Qualifications:
Candidate must have a bachelor's or graduate degree in Computer Science, Geography, Programming or related are along with 5-7 years of professional experience. Must have proven proficiency in the use of ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, relational databases (both SQL Server and Oracle) and related development environments (.NET, ASP, VB); exposure to requirements analysis/gathering and applying techniques to respond to documented requirements. Candidates must express a willingness to learn, the ability to work both independently and within a team to get the job done and have good verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate would have experience in applying technology to transportation and/or wastewater utility business cases. Ideal candidates will have exposure to the implementation of document management systems and maintenance management systems.
