For the first time, ILGISA will offer a series of Lightning Talks so you can interact with your peers in a unique and dynamic way.  Start small; share one great idea.  Do you have something to boast about or a valuable lesson learned?  Maybe you’ve never given a talk before, or a 30-minute talk is simply too long.  This is your opportunity to tell a story, motivate, and inspire.  Submit your name, agency and presentation title.  It’s just 5 minutes and a handful of slides; let’s have some fun!

The Illinois Geographic Information Systems Association will be holding its twentieth annual Fall Conference on October 20-21, 2010 at the campus of Northern Illinois University (NIU Naperville) in Naperville, Illinois. The era of innovation and integration has influenced the GIS Community forcing new methodologies, solutions and creativity to keep up with this constantly demanding world in which we live.  This event will feature structured workshops, technical sessions, panel discussions, technology demonstrations, project updates, as well as national and state speakers.

 Registration Fees for the 2010 Fall Conference 

Registration Information

Registration forms can be mailed with payment or purchase order number. If you are not including payment with your registration form, you must include the FEIN. For further information you can call the conference hotline at 800-345-9472 to listen to taped answers to frequently asked questions, or reach a phone agent during business hours.

Registrations accepted by mail (postmarked date must be before Sept. 17, 2010 to receive discount), fax, or on line (on line registration with credit card only) prior to Sept. 17 will receive the early-bird discount. Registrations received after Sept. 17, 2010, unless postmarked, will pay the regular registration fee and be billed in arrears for any registration errors. 

PLEASE NOTE: Any individual wishing to receive discounted member rates for the conference must be current in their 2010 annual dues prior to registration. If you have not paid your dues and register as a member, you will be billed for the non-member rates.  Verification of membership status can be obtained by contacting Tracy Rogers, Executive Director, at contact@ilgisa.org.  If your status is in question, please contact her immediately.  Any individual registering on-site must do so with cash, check or credit card that day.

Student Registration:  Students must be at least half-time students (6 hours) and need to include a letter from their department chair with the registration form or your registration will not be considered until the letter is received. There is now a student discount available for the workshops on Wednesday; however, this is only for a maximum of 10% of the seats available.

Refunds: A full refund will only be issued if written request, by fax or mail, is received by NIU Outreach Services – Registration and postmarked by October 1, 2010. No refunds will be issued after that date. If you cannot attend, you may send a substitute. If you do not send a substitute and you do not attend yourself, you are still responsible for notifying Registration before the deadline for the refund to be processed. Please allow 6-8 weeks for refunds to be processed.
