The geocaches to for this contest are located near places of significance in ILGISA history.  ILGISA has been around for 15 years so we have picked 15 existing caches spread throughout Illinois near places of significance to ILGISA. The winner will be the first person to find all 15 caches or, in the event that no one finds all the caches, the person who finds the most caches. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Observing that “the geospatial industry, and the GIS profession within it, has matured considerably” since GISCI was founded in 2004, Board members unanimously endorsed a GISP Certification Update Initiative.
